It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and I’ve encountered many a critter during the wee hours of the morning on my way to work. More times than not it has been a close encounter with a deer that have a habit of appearing out of nowhere never knowing what hit them. There have been the occasional Ground Hog and Raccoon. One Raccoon came out of the wood and ran straight for my headlights unfortunately it missed the headlights and ended up under my wheels but not before taking out my fog light cover and busting the windshield washer pump that just happens to be positioned near my front wheel. But this morning I had a different encounter in the form of a white Duck in the middle of a two lane road while I was cruising at 40 mph. Not a wild duck but one that looked like it belonged on a farm near a pond with all his other duck friends. But there it was right in the middle of the highway, its beak as yellow as the double line painted on the road. Well, I managed to stop while it looked at me for a moment then proceeded to waddle its way to the side of the road with a look of how dare I interrupt his morning walk. Like I said I’ve encountered may a critter on my way into work but never a duck.
