…and as we embark on brand-new year it’s only fitting that we give a final goodbye to some influential people who left us in 2022. Along with the passing of Steelers Great Franco Harris days before the Immaculate Reception celebration, Barbara Walters, Vivienne Westwood and Pope Benedict, all left us in the final days of 2022 joining many notable public figures who died over the course of this year. Queen Elizabeth II, former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Brazil’s famed soccer star Pelé, and trailblazing actor Sidney Poitier are also influential folks whose legacies continue without their physical presence. Other beloved figures that died this year include Bob Saget, Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters, NBA all-star Bob Lanier, Grammy-winner Olivia Newton-John, British actor Angela Lansbury, Emmy-winning icon Leslie Jordan, rock ‘n’ roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis not to mention Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie, teen heartthrob Aaron Carter, founding member of the Pointer Sisters Anita Pointer, Modest Mouse co-founder and drummer Jeremiah Green, The musician, who is the son of Stephen Marley and grandson of Bob Marley, Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley died at age 31,  beloved dancer and former Ellen show DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Cheers actress Kirstie Alley, former NFL player and Fleetwood Mac co-vocalist keyboard player Christine McVie and engineer and I.T. professional at Forever Media Greg Harper.  But for many their legacies live on.
