…and I’m not a golfer but occasionally will watch golf on TV but not because I planned too. It’s usually because I was flipping through the channels and will only stay glued if it’s at tight game on the last day of a tournament. Even if golfs biggest draw, Tiger woods is playing. So, when I heard about Tiger Woods going head to head against Phil Mickleson in a winner take all golf match worth $9 million I was thinking that I just might watch the whole thing. That was until I read that it won’t be on free TV and instead would be a pay per view deal. Well, that sunk it for me. And now it looks like the actual match wont even be open to the public and instated will only be open to sponsors and VIP’s. You know if they were trying to get more casual fans interested in golf, they sure are going about it the wrong way. First off, its Thanksgiving weekend. Which means their going to have to lure people away from all the college football match-up ups which I think would have been doable if it were on free TV but pay per view? Usually when it’s a pay per view event you make a party out of it and get your friends to chip in but this is a weekend event. Yeah, you’re going to have relatives over but its also the start of the Christmas shopping season too, good luck with that. Guess I’ll read about the results the next day on the internet.
